In acknowledging the mutual benefits arising from the coexistence of distinct ways of life, we must express our gratitude for the voluntary dissolution of both inner and outer obstacles.

This effort seeks to reconcile diverse lifestyles that have kept peoples apart for generations, offering our earthly existence a semblance of harmony in both the spiritual and material domains, amidst the multitude of simmering conflicts.

This endeavor aims to gather and present, in a simplified manner, insights drawn from religious texts, sacred scriptures, and the whimsical tapestry of human existence.

The birth of this handbook and its journey to your hands exemplify such an endeavor. In the ensuing chapters, I shall endeavor, with utmost clarity, to elucidate certain philosophical tenets of a relatively new religion that sprouted forth in Vietnam forty-four years ago.

This work is tailored, in part, for the Westerner seeking to delve into the spiritual essence of the Vietnamese people.

Here, the spirit of religion has silently permeated the collective conscience, guiding their social activities. Thus, I aim to facilitate your comprehension of the underlying motivations behind their chosen way of life.

Yet, owing to various factors, some arrive at conclusions that are at odds with the truth that CaoDaist disciples endeavor to convey.
